Tech Debt Is Passé. Say Hello to Agent Debt
Tech debt used to be the thing. Now it's agents writing code faster than any human can review it, and the PR debt is piling up in most organizations. Welcome to the era of Tech and Agent Debt! This panel maps the shift in two parts: the bottleneck you have today (review fatigue and context collapse, as PR volume outpaces human verification) and the bottleneck coming next (once agents handle execution, the real constraint becomes trusted system context, evaluation and feedback loops, and deployment). The upshot: the center of gravity in engineering is moving from producing implementation toward defining intent, designing systems, constraining execution, and verifying outcomes.
